The Perfect Product is a UK electronics and smart-home retailer with an unusual constraint: we do not list a product until we have used it ourselves.
Why we started
Buying consumer tech has become an exercise in filtering noise — sponsored reviews, affiliate round-ups, and spec sheets that tell you nothing about whether a thing is good to live with. We wanted a shop where the shortlist had already been done honestly.
What we actually do
- We buy the products, at our own cost, and use them properly — usually for weeks.
- We write up what we found, including the parts that are not flattering.
- If it does not earn a place, it does not get listed. Our catalogue is deliberately small.
The model
We share profit in two directions: back to customers as credit on every order, and to The Chronic Pain Foundation once our investors are repaid. Selling you something you did not need would undermine both.
